Story of Toran
The sea is calm, a good wind catches the sails. Lord Buzz standing at the helm seeing his beloved home in the distance. Castle Toran looming on the high cliffs in the bay. Smiling he thinks, "father will be surprised at how much I've grown in the last ten years." He looks around as a firm hand touches his shoulder. "M'lord ye needs ta get ready, ye be not fit for yer father to smell ye a mile off" laughing the first mate grabs the wheel," Aye ye be right! I must look a sight." Running below Lord Buzz bathes and trims his new beard. Father I hope will be proud he thought. Toran home sweet home how he had missed it. He thought how he had hated his father at first for sending him away, but now he sees why. Lord Fillmore had sent his son off to sea to teach him more then being a spoiled Lord's son, that one must take chances and learn life. As the ship docked Lord Buzz stood at the gangway looking to see if there was anyone he remembered at the docks, but there wasn't, in fact, there was no one around. Looking at his first mate who also was bewildered that the town looked empty. As they walked into town, still not a soul, they ventured into the pub and there sat the high wizard of Dreadmore. Wizard Zandor looked up and waved a hand in a motion to sit beside him. Lord Buzz and his first mate did and then Zandor looked deeply at Lord Buzz. "Ye has become a worthy Lord, m'lord ye has filled out some I see" a grin touched his face, but tis not a good day that brings me here, tis bad news I have for thee I fear. Ye father has died early this day. He had summoned me to his bedside late last night wanting me to bear ye the news. Lord Buzz's body trembles with rage that he had not come home sooner. "My son, he had been ill for many a month now and knew his time had come. He wanted ye to know that he knew your life will be as he had wanted, to be a Noble Lord, to rule Toran." As Lord Buzz proceeded to the Castle, Zandor says a prayer for Lord Fillmore, decendent to one of the 6 men who saved PenDragon many years ago.
